National Alliance Launches Education Hub

Available via GAIN - the Golf Access and Inclusion Network™

As announced on The Golf Wire on Jan 2, 2024: Charleston, SC: The National Alliance for Accessible Golf (the Alliance) announces the launch of the Alliance Education Hub, a free, publicly available learning platform designed to deliver on-demand education to support the organization’s mission “to increase the participation of people with disabilities in the game of golf.”


The Alliance Education Hub is available to anyone who seeks it through GAIN – the Golf Access and Inclusion Network™.


Initial offerings include a series of Onboarding Lessons designed for golf facility leadership and staff related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), types of disabilities, creating inclusive environments with policies, marketing and communications, along with building and golf course access requirements designed to prioritize the information owners and operators need to know. Micro-learning lessons are available as well for quick answers to common questions.


Education Credits are NOW Available for PGA and LPGA Members completing the Onboarding Series. More to come on education credits from additional golf industry associations!

2024 GCSAA Conference and Trade Show to Offer Several Access and Inclusion Education Opportunities in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ - As the golf industry show season continues in Arizona with the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show following the Golf Business Conference and PGA Show taking place in Orlando the week prior, opportunities will continue for those seeking information on access and inclusion in the game of golf.


On Tuesday, Jan 30, Jan Bel Jan (pictured above) will participate during Facility Learning Tours at the Arizona Biltmore while Alliance Board Members Chava McKeel and Jason Sfire participate in the "Access and Inclusion in the Game of Golf" panel along with Scott Johnson from the Warrior Alliance and Anthony Netto, founder of the Stand Up and Play Foundation.

On Wednesday Jan 31st, Jason will be a guest on a live trade show floor podcast. On Feb 1st, Tracy Hupko, Executive Director of the I Got This Foundation and Amy Bockerstette will also participate in a podcast. Amy is a talented golfer and well known for telling Gary Woodland "I Got This" from a greenside bunker and then draining the 8-footer for par on the 16th hole during the 2019 Waste Management pro-am.
