Executive Director Honored With Conrad Rehling Award

St. Augustine, FL (June 29, 2017) — The National Alliance for Accessible Golf (Alliance) is pleased to announce that Executive Director Steve Jubb, PGA, has been honored by Special Olympics and the PGA of America as the 2016 Conrad Rehling Award recipient.

The Conrad Rehling Award, first presented in 2005, honors the late PGA Master Professional who followed a successful collegiate coaching career at Florida and Alabama by transforming his retirement into inspiring PGA Professionals to give back to the physically challenged. Rehling died in April 2007 at age 87.

The founding father of the Special Olympics Golf movement in 1988, Rehling spearheaded The PGA of America's efforts to introduce golf to Special Olympics. The Association and its more than 28,000 men and women professionals have dedicated countless hours, services and funding to the growth of Special Olympics Golf.

Jubb has served as the Executive Director of the Alliance since January 2015. He has more than 40 years of experience working in the golf industry and with individuals with disabilities. Previously, Jubb served as the Director, PGA Charities and Military Liaison for the Professional Golfers' Association of America and the PGA Foundation. Through his work at the PGA and the Alliance, Jubb has been dedicated to the development, marketing and implementation of programs that enhance and make a difference in the lives of individuals around the world, including Special Olympics Golf and PGA H.O.P.E. (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere — The PGA's Wounded Warrior and Disabled Veterans program).

Jubb is a PGA Professional and during his career has served as the Golf Operations Manager at Walt Disney World, the Head Golf Professional at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, FL, and the Executive Director of the New Jersey Section PGA prior to joining the PGA of America in 1989.
