Alliance produces video on Single Rider Golf Cars

In 2004, the Alliance is placing a major focus on single rider golf cars as a way to make the game of golf more accessible. Throughout the year, we will be reporting on the many planned activities of the Single Rider Task Force (see www.accessgolf.org/news/Single-Rider-Task-Force.shtml and watch for updates).

Since the single rider golf car is still a relatively new method of providing access to some golfers with disabilities and since there is a need to educate both potential users as well as golf facility personnel about single riders, the Alliance has produced an introductory video on the device. The video (13 minutes, 27 seconds) is designed to introduce the viewer to how the device is used and operated on a golf course. In the future, more in-depth videos on single riders and other aspects of making golf accessible will be added.

Appreciation is also extended to the LPGA and to the LPGA International golf facility for their courtesy and accommodation in the production of this video.

This video is presented in streaming format, and requires Real Player for viewing.

A higher quality version of this video is also available on CD. The cost of the video is $10.00. Please contact the National Alliance for Accessible Golf for more details.
