Four New Alliance Board Members Elected

The National Alliance for Accessible Golf announces the election of four new members to the organization's Board of Directors.

Dany Baker is from Coffeen, Illinois. He is presently the Hillsboro High School Golf Coach and the Commissioner of Parks in Coffeen, Illinois. He spends most of his summer giving individual and group lessons to children and adults as well as being a junior golf clinic coordinator for Hillsboro Country Club, Litchfield Country Club, and Taylorville Country Club. Mitchell L. Stump is a former IRS Revenue Agent and a practicing CPA located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, focusing on Private Club accounting and tax issues. He has consulted with the Club Industry since 1992 and is recognized as an Industry leader, being called upon to speak to and write for Club related groups and publications. Richard Thesing is a retired attorney living in Atherton, California. Richard managed San Francisco—based Littler Mendelson for seven years prior to his retirement. In 2000, Richard was appointed by President Clinton to a four year term as one of thirteen public members of the United States Access Board, the independent federal agency that sets national standards for access for people with disabilities. He has been active in promoting golf for people with disabilities.

Andy Phipps is a 2000 graduate of Vanderbilt, where he was a two-year captain of the men's varsity golf team. Andy has just accepted a position at the National Sports Center for the Disabled in Denver, as their Marketing Coordinator. Prior to this position, Andy completed a three year fellowship with the United States Golf Association Foundation where he managed the new USGA Resource Center for Individuals with Disabilities.

All four newly elected members will take their seat on the Board of Directors at the February meeting to be held in Daytona Beach, Florida and hosted by the Ladies Professional Golf Association.
