Project GAIN Salt Lake City and Baltimore receive awards

Congratulations are in order for the Salt Lake City and Baltimore Project GAIN sites. Both programs were recently recognized by their respective state recreation and park associations for innovation and excellence.

The Maryland Recreation and Parks Association awarded the Baltimore Project GAIN site with the Innovative Program Award in Therapeutic Recreation.

This is an annual award given to "an agency or special program in recognition of an outstanding event/program exemplifying creativity/innovative, resource usage, therapeutic value, and participant benefit."

Salt Lake City Project GAIN received the Utah Recreation and Parks Association's Outstanding Program Award for 2004.

The award states: "Awarded to Project GAIN, Utah Model Program In recognition for outstanding accomplishments in the field of Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services, 2004."

Congratulations to both Project GAIN sites for your hard work and excellent programs!

From the Salt Lake Project GAIN site, Dave Compton and Richard Robinson receive Model Program Award from Utah Recreation and Park Association.
