What We Do

Accessible Golf Tournament/Event
The Alliance sponsors accessible golf events which raise the profile of golfers with disabilities. All proceeds of the accessible golf events are directed toward partnership opportunities for agencies, organizations and communities to both broaden the reach of accessible golf and to provide assistance and support for agencies and communities interested in creating such a partnership.

GAINTM (Golf: Accessible and Inclusive Networks)
GAINTM is not just a golf program. It is a community-based instruction golf program primarily focused on assisting individuals with disabilities to become involved in the fabric of their community. The program uses golf as a primary vehicle to achieve that. It is also a program that includes participants without disabilities and uses socialization activities among all participants to achieve the goal of inclusion. Sites can choose from three existing GAINTM models — a partner, camp or community.

Grants in Partnership With the United States Golf Association
In 2010, the Alliance and the USGA formed a grant-making partnership to advance opportunities for individuals with disabilities through the game of golf. This partnership is a component of the USGA's "For the Good of the Game" Grants Initiative, which has contributed more than $5 million since 1997 to programs that serve individuals with disabilities. USGA funds make these grants possible and the Alliance administers the grant making process.

Education and Technical Resources for Golfers and Golf Facilities
The National Alliance for Accessible Golf is available to provide technical assistance and training. In addition, the Alliance has developed toolkits to provide general guidance for individuals with disabilities who are interested in the game of golf as well as a toolkit to provide guidance to golf course owners and operators seeking ways to make their golf courses and facilities more accessible to golfers with disabilities.
